Meet Coach Andy

From the Pool to the Platform

I found fitness the long way around. In high school I was a swimming instructor, and I loved it — but I went on to study architecture, interned, graduated, and realized the industry wasn't for me. So I asked myself a simple question: what actually gives me joy? The answer was coaching. Helping people move better, get stronger, and feel good in their own bodies. Twelve years later, that's still exactly what I do.

My Background

I come from a deep athletic background — competitive Swimming, Handball (not to be mistaken with European Handball), and Olympic Weightlifting, with years spent in Powerlifting and Bodybuilding. That range means I can coach almost anyone, from someone picking up a barbell for the first time to a national-level weightlifter chasing a new PR.

My Philosophy

Fitness is a lifestyle, and its real goal is living longer, healthier, more enjoyable years. Strength training is how we hold onto our youth — through every decade, we keep our muscle, our mobility, and our independence. I'm not here to push you through a brutal hour you dread. I'm here to teach you how to train, so that movement becomes something you genuinely look forward to and carry with you for life.

Who I Work Best With

Most of my clients are beginners — people who want to learn strength training the right way, lose weight, or finally feel comfortable in the gym. A lot of them arrived intimidated and unsure. They don't leave that way. I also coach Olympic Weightlifting for anyone who catches the bug, all the way up to the competitive level.

If that sounds like you, let's talk.
