Olympic Weightlifting Coaching

Learn the Snatch and Clean & Jerk the right way — safely, confidently, and from the ground up. Whether you're curious about your first barbell or training for the national platform, I'll meet you where you are.

From First Lift to First Meet

You don't need any experience to start. Many of my weightlifters began having never touched a barbell — and discovered a sport they fell in love with. I coach the full progression: technique first, then strength, then the kind of consistent, structured training that turns into real numbers on the platform. I also coach experienced and competitive lifters, including athletes competing at the national level.

How We Train

  • In-person in Long Island City (my Court Square studio or your building gym) and Downtown Brooklyn (travel-to-you).

  • Remote through the EverFit app with WhatsApp video form review — ideal for lifters who want expert technical eyes on every rep.

  • Monthly performance reviews to plan your next training block.

Pricing

  • In-person: introductory 3 sessions for $400; 7 for $1,000; 15 for $2,000.

  • Remote programming: $200 / month, discounted when combined with in-person sessions.

What Weightlifters Say

  • We started from zero in weightlifting — my snatch went from barely 40 kg to around 70 kg and still improving. He's present during training sessions and reviews performance monthly to plan next steps. His programs work for both beginners and advanced athletes.

  • I am a competitive weightlifter and have been working with Andy for almost a year. I've seen a vast improvement in my technique and strength PRs, all while navigating an injury. Andy is thoughtful, precise, and flexible. His video feedback is particularly helpful.

  • Andrew is the BEST coach I've ever worked with. I've been working with him on Olympic weightlifting for over a year and have seen noticeable benefits — improved stamina and muscle structure. But most of all, exercising has become a fun activity to help decompress from work and stress.
